i am a list-maker. sometimes that is good....and sometimes it is not. on the way to the grocery, i am glad for my list. when i sit down in my workroom and see what i still need to finish, it is...eye-opening, to say the least. i have always been one of ideas and plans and dreams....i have a notebook (actually several notebooks) full of my ideas and thoughts and wishes. i am not, however, very judicious with the follow-through. so here is what i have:
twisted wire pins...well, almost pins...they will be...when i attach the pinback
ribbon and beaded bookmarks...or at least they will be...when i crank up the sewing machine and attach the beaded fringe that right now is just pinned on
knitted scarves...that will look so much better after i have steam pressed them...all 65 of them
cross-stitched Christmas ornaments...at least i've finished the cross-stitch parts...now to sew on the backs...after i pin them down to the Christmas fabric
fleece scarves...cut, fringed...but not blanket-stitched around the edges...yet
sigh. so i'm sure you see my dilemma. i am, sad to say, a great "starter"....but a "finisher"?....not so much. today my plan is to be focused...determined....intent on completing one...just ONE of the things on my list. i have all the necessary reinforcements...hammered dulcimer Christmas cd...hot blackberry tea...comfy chair...quiet house....supplies at hand...so...i will go now.
at the end of the day, i will have finished something i started...and if i'm really really good...maybe i will finish more than one thing. a red letter day, to be sure! i will let you know. have a good one! :)
